Atop's Wireless Devices series offers a wired AND a wireless interfaces between a serial device and the LAN. The RJ-45 port on the device can be used for initial device configuration as well as a backup wired transmission.    All wireless devices conform with IEEE802.11g/b as well as WEP and WPA encryptions. It is suitable for bridging communications in places difficult to wire or impractical to wire.  It is also useful for mobile user interfaces, especially in an industrial surrounding.
